Founded by Yashashree Kale and Mehar Chumble in 2017, Guardian of the Purr is a premier pet-sitting service operating in Mumbai and Pune.
At Guardian of the Purr, everything we do is guided by our love for animals. While our primary service is pet-sitting and pet care, the reason we exist is so we can fund our passion for feeding and medicating the stray animals of our vicinity. 50% of our profits go towards improving the lives of animals in need. It's our way of making a difference- one whisker at a time.

Yashashree Kale
Yashashree brings a wealth of experience and passion to Guardian of the Purr. For two years, she managed India's first Cat Cafe based in Mumbai, where she was responsible for rescuing, feeding, administering medication, and handling adoptions. This role honed her ability to understand the diverse behaviors and personalities of cats. In addition to her expertise in feline care, Yashashree is a dedicated yoga instructor, animal activist, and feeder. With extensive knowledge of cat behaviour, she is committed to ensuring every pet receives the highest standard of care.
Mehar Chumble
Mehar, co-founder of Guardian of the Purr, is a devoted animal lover and music composer. With a deep passion for animal welfare, Mehar plays a key role in ensuring that every pet receives the best possible care at Guardian of the Purr.
